The Arsenal star remains the top target of the Ligue 1 champions, but they are eyeing up other options if they cannot sign him
Ozil: I won't change my style
Sanchez still tops the Parisian side’s wishlist, Goal understands, but should PSG fail in their bid to secure the Chile international forward, they will look to Aubameyang, who has Ligue 1 experience with Monaco, Lille and Saint-Etienne.
Goal understands the reigning Ligue 1 champions have already made contact with Aubameyang’s entourage, even meeting the player’s father, but no offer has been made either to BVB or the 27-year-old.
Alexis is seen as a more attractive option that the Gabon star as he is only a year away from the end of his contract, meaning he could move for a relatively cheap price of around €40 million. Aubameyang’s fee would be significantly greater.
Meanwhile, Aubameyang has never hidden his admiration of Real Madrid, who are expected to be among the teams in the running for his signature if Dortmund are seen to be willing to sell.
PSG have lacked offensive options to help Edinson Cavani, who has been their only recognised centre forward this season. The Uruguay ace has plundered over 30 league goals this season, and is closing in on 50 in all competitions, but no-one else in Emery’s ranks has yet reached double figures in Ligue 1.
They languish in an unfamiliar third place in Ligue 1 behind leaders Monaco and Nice, who defeated them on Sunday.
