fans left stunned after discovering that Jamie Foxx real name isn’t Jamie Foxx

Jamie Foxx fans have a bone to pick with the Hollywood star after discovering his name isn’t actually Jamie Foxx.

The 49-year-old actor kicked off his performing career in 1985 and he’s somehow managed to keep his actual name - Eric Marlon Bishop - under wraps from a fair few people for over two decades.

But that all changed on Monday May 29 when a Twitter user called Katelynn, 19, tweeted her disbelief alongside a screen grab showing the actor’s real name in Google.

“Yo, am I the only one who thought Jamie Foxx real name was Jamie Foxx?” she wrote next to two crying emojis.

The tweet has since been retweeted 36,000 times and shared 59,000 times.

And it turns out she wasn’t the only one who had no idea Jamie Foxx was just a stage name.

Another pointed out that his daughter is also on social media as a Foxx.

People really didn't know that Jamie Foxx's real name is not Jaimie Foxx but Eric Bishop uh ok smh he talked abt when he won awards for Ray.
