HUNDREDS of football fans were injured, two critically, after a false alarm led to stampede with reports of 600 people injured.

Footage showed panicked fans fleeing from the area where a big screen was showing the clash with Real Madrid.
Fans were seen been with flares and fireworks earlier in the night.
Bloodied and injured people were seen being carried from the packed zone in San Carlo Square.

Associated Press reporter Brian Hendrie was in the square.
“At that moment, I saw the entire piazza went in the direction next to the screen to escape, all in a panic,” he said. “They ran, fell on the ground on the glass.”
Another witness told Italian paper La Stampa: "We heard screaming and at some point thousands of people began to press to run out of the square."
Police have said around 200 people need hospital treatment with two people, including a child, understood to be in a critical condition.
Many were injured after a railing around the entrance of an underground car park fave way under the weight of the crush.
Emergency services were seen ferrying people on stretchers while police struggled to maintain order.
Real Madrid won 4-1 in the match played in Cardiff, Wales.
